Things to do & see
Ko Lipe
Koh Lipe is a tiny island in the Andaman Sea located 70 km off the southwest coast of Thailand near the Malaysian border (about 1h north of Langkawi).
Ko Samet
A small and rather quiet island within easy reach of Bangkok (200km away), Pattaya (75km) and Ko Chang (115km).
Ko Chang (small)
Small island of 18sqkm in the Andaman Sea just north of Ko Phayam near the Burmese border. One of the least developed islands in Thailand and good hide-away from the mass tourism.
Ko Chang (big)
Second biggest island in Thailand about 300km away from Bangkok and largest island of the Ko Chang Marine Park archipelago.
Ko Tao
Ko Tao (lit. Turtle Island) is a small island of 21sqkm in the Gulf of Thailand near Ko Phangan popular for affordable scuba diving.
Surin Islands / Richelieu Rock

The Similans are nine island about 50km offshore from Khao Lak with a National Park status and amazing beaches and dive opportunities.

A popular island off the south coast of Thailand in the Krabi Province. The main island is 6km wide and over 30km long.

Phuket
Most popular mass tourism destination and biggest island in Thailand. The island is located in the south-west of the country and connected to the mainland by a bridge.
Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep
A must-see temple on a hill 15km from Chiang Mai offering great views over the city.
Pattaya
Resort town with a population of over 100,000 about 165km southeast of Bangkok. Infamous for its nightlife and go-go bars efforts have been put into becoming family destination as well.
Chiang Mai
The largest and most culturally significant city in northern Thailand with a population of 150,000 and a starting point for tourists going for trekking tours surrounded by mountains and lush countryside.
Chinatown (Yaowarat)
The Chinatown district in Samphanthawong is known for its gold and jewelery shops and the street markets and seafood stalls.
Chatuchak (Jatujak) Weekend Market
The Chatuchak weekend market with up to 15,000 stalls and 200,000 - 300,000 visitors a day is said to be the worlds biggest weekend market.
Ayutthaya
Ayutthaya was the capital of the kingdom of Siam from 1350 until 1767 when a Burmese army destroyed the city. The ruins of the temples are recogized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Ko Kret (also Koh Kred) is an island in the Chao Phraya River, 20 km north of Bangkok city centre.
Bangkok
Bangkok is Thailands capital and the only real metropolis of the country with over 10 million people. Located along Chao Phraya River it is a city of many faces.
